Transformers Combiner Wars G1 Autobots

It's a little late, but finally my final Combiner Wars set arrived from Big Bad Toy Store. This is something I've been waiting for, for a long time. Up until now I thought it might never happen, but they finally made a combiner out of some of the G1 Autobots!

From left to right we have: Prowl, Mirage, Optimus Prime, Sunstreaker, and Ironhide. Yes, I know that technically this set is supposed to be combined with some white version of Optimus Prime, but no Hasbro, you already have enough of my money!

Prowl is by far my favourite of the four. His design and color scheme is the most striking. Ironhide comes in at a second. Together they look like a formidable team. But when combined...

Oh baby, this is something I've been waiting for forever. I still don't know what to call this guy. Ultra Prime? Super Prime? Mega Hyper Turbo Championship Edition Optimus Prime? Whatever it is, I love this combiner. A lot of people hate the hip joint section, but if you throw away the instructions and just straighten up the legs fully, you get a robot that stands firm and towers over most other rivals.

Now I'm just waiting for Combiner Wars Cyclonus to get a team of Decepticons for himself. That would also be sweet. Are you listening, Hasbro? I won't buy your white Optimus Prime, but I will give you my money for a proper set of Decepticons for Cyclonus, haha.

Kylo Ren Jakks 18" Figure

Happy Force Friday everyone! Well, sort of... Sure enough, I run to the stores to find the 3 3/4" figures of the newest Star Wars line of toys, but what I find are the shamefull desolate remains of empty racks that are still swinging on their hinges. I won't lie, I felt like I wanted to choke a random Imperial Admiral, but all was not lost.

Oh, I'm still going to hunt for those elusive toys, but in the meantime I can enjoy this sexy, forgotten figure.

Jakks Big Figs has provided this amazing 18" Kylo Ren figure. And there were a lot of him left on the shelf! I guess in all the madness, this guy was looked over, but I couldn't be happier. Sure, it's limited in it's articulation, but so is the newest basic line of toys. This guy, however, comes with a soft goods cloak that just screams authenticity, and by God, it towers over most of my other figures.

I'm not sure if I even care about the 3 3/4" Kylo anymore. This figure is great, and I highly recommend it to any Star Wars fan hungering for some Force Awakens goodness. I especially recommend him to those collectors who, like me, can't find a single damn thing on the basic line racks.

Dear giant Kylo, where have you been all my life?
